I've been researching 2012 mini S models and found one for sale with 65k miles, extremely clean, looks brand new) oil changes at 3000 miles. He states he uses premium gas. Clean carfax and only a recent break job at the dealer. Nothing more, like the timing belt or chain that I read about a lot. I'm afraid to pull the trigger on this because of all the bad I read. But every car has issues at one point or another. My friend who has had 2 minis says the miles are not an issue. They're asking $14k. Opinions welcome ..go....

 

We have a '12 MCS, bought a couple years ago with 16k miles, now has 43k miles (mostly highway/vacation). Has been pretty solid, only problem so far was the exhaust VANOs solenoid. Was replaced under warranty. The '12 MCS has the n18 engine, not too many posts of problems with it..

 

I purchased a 2012 last year with 5,000 on it. love it and have not had any issues with it.

A tad on the high side given the mileage, but not bad.
