I have the OEM roof rack base. Looking for a good roof basket . Preferably a sturdy install. Some Baskets I have seen looks flimsy attached to the base. Any recommendations would be helpful

 

I've been looking into the THULE M.O.A.B.

seems the most legit, super EZ to put on too.

 

I have a Yakima Loadwarrior that seems to be less bulky than the Thule MOAB... I think they weigh almost the same.

Found this on eBay and it's very retro-looking and borderline flimsy but nice.

Another one of interest is the Thule Canyon, slightly more low profile and best out there IMHO. A much softer look.

Please be advised that your gas mileage might drop (mine did from 37.X down to 33.X mpgs). A good resolution is to have a custom fairing made that touches the roof up to the highest tip of the roof basket.
