I was flipping threw the channels and i came upon a show on speed last night called Targa new Zeland. So i sat and watched then this blue cooper s flew by and they where like ah yes so and so's cooper is in the top 10 highly modded blah blah blah the usual untill i saw the names of the driver and what kind of car it was, 2003 Mini Cooper S (Moddefied/ All wheel drive) I about flipped out turns out its team quvick (pardon my spelling) but that thing was crazy fast to keep up with a awd 911 carera. Any one else catch the show?

 

I saw parts of the New Zealand Rally. There was one part where a 2002 MINI Cooper was kicking some serious butt. Must have missed the 2003 MCS... Would have been neat to see it. The 2002 MC sounded awesome BTW!

 

I saw that as well, but I assumed that class meant modified or 4 wheel drive. I didn't think that meant they were all 4 wheel drive in that class. But I guess I was wrong. I saw the Mini was in the top 10.

 

I remember seeing the same show as well. Must admit not to have catching any reference to AWD. Still great to see a Mini making it's paces and doing it well. Funny, before getting Tootles that form of racing broadcasted would not have really interested me . Now I catch myself complaining there's not enough SCCA on tv.
