Hi, my sons 2007 non S is bringing up a 283D VANOS, exhaust code on the carsoft hand held.I reset the code and I drove it for 45 mins and the code comes back on. I swapped both of the vanos solenoids only to get the same code. Originally when I took the rear solenoid out it was clogged up with crap on the screen. The front one was clean. I did an ohm test across them both and got 75 ohms. This all started when I got the car back from the dealer after both keys of the car stopped working. Had two new keys ordered and the car towed there. 642 dollars later the alarm. Can anyone give me some advise and not to take it back to the dealer...lol..
