I recently purchased some used carbon fiber door handle and gas cap overlays. What is the best way to install these? What is the recommended adhesive to place these on? I thought about double sided tape, but it would seem it would be too thick and you would have chrome sticking out.

I just had carbon fiber mirror caps installed. I took it to a body shop and they had the 3M double sided tape for body attachment pieces. They installed them for $20. I would have spent that in gas driving to get the tape and tape, and I knew they used the correct stuff. Well worth them doing it since if they put it on crooked they would have to fix it.
