Questions about selling my 2012 Roadster S
How are used Roadsters selling? I moving abroad and will need to sell my beloved 2012 Roadster S
but am trying to figure out the best timing so that I have enough time to sell, but still enjoy her as long as possible. There is extremely limited inventory, but I am not sure how to gauge the demand and determine pricing/timing.

It's really hard to tell since any roadster are already a niche market to start with.
I would think however that since they just made the few last ones that the demand is going to increase some. However that may take a while before all dealer inventory are depleted. It also depends on what area you live. Seattle, I don't know... it shouldn't be too bad right? Timing a sale on a car like that is always going to be hard unless you are willing to make it a good deal for the next buyer.
What are the specs (mileage, condition, model type)?
Sad you have to let it go. Maybe you could keep it for when you get back

If you happen to live in a warm climate (southwest, southeast) then the market for roadsters is usually strong and you should be able to get some good offers. If, on the other hand, you live in a colder climate you might consider advertising nationally. Auto trader, carsoup, etc. I've considered this myself. We live in Minneapolis but have family in southern calif. If we ever sell our roadster we might even drop it off in so cal and advertise it there.
Some points that may or may not mean anything.
Both of my local SoCal Mini dealers have Roadsters in stock as of last week.
When I bought my used 2012 Roadster S last year it was the only one I could find in all of SoCal that was a manual.
I got my 2012 Roadster S at the beginning of 2014 with only 8000 miles on it for $20k, mostly because the dealer group who took it in couldn't sell it, first over 8 months in Oregon, then 4 months in Palm Springs CA.
That said I still feel a used Roadster would sell fast in LA or San Diego.
In a pinch there is always Car Max.
Don't forget you need to pass smog before selling a used car in California, especially when bringing in a car from out of state.

I get the feel the dealers have stocked up a little.
Mine still have one 2013, two 2014, and they now have two 2015, and for a North East area they've been selling quite a few roadsters for some reason. The only difference is that I believe a lot of the one they sold were built to order so I don't know what that will mean for dealer builds and used ones...

She is an automatic, Cooper S, excellent condition, with 25K miles. I planning on selling in about a month - so just in time for the good weather here in Seattle. The only other Roadster that appears to be for sale in the Pacific Northwest is a 2012 base model for sale at a dealership for nearly $22K. I am hoping this is a good sign for selling, but I guess I will have to wait an see. I am sure there will be some tears when it is time to say goodbye.
