need help
i have 2005 mini cooper s auto and the car is stuck on third gear and it wont shift up or down
does any body have an idea ?????
i did change the valve body and still the same
the dealer said i need new transmission and i think its BS
PLEASE I NEED HELP WHAT TO DO AND WHERE TO TAKE IT TO

Welcome to the MINIacs! I see this is your first post.
Sorry to read about your troubles...
I'm thinking it is shifter related... (See image) You can trouble shoot by having someone move your shift lever as you inspect the connector on the transmission where they connect, Is the cable moving in conjunction with the shifter?
You may also need to open up the center console to check to see if the shifter is still connected to the cable in the shifter... I would put money it is somewhere here, in ether the shifter assembly or where the cable connects to the transmission.
