r53 manual right axle OEM brace

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R53
Location (Region): NorCal
Item Condition: Used

I'm looking for the axle brace that seats to the axle bearing on the r53 manual right side axle.

I'm going to be changing out my axle @ a DIY shop and don't want to be wasting time removing the brace from the bearing and want to have it seated on to my replacement axle before I get to the DIY shop

let me know

I'm in the SF Bay Area

Its not that hard to remove. I did it in my garage with basic tools. All you need is a pair of snap ring pliers and a dead blow hammer. Take the snap ring off and tap off the brace. Took me about 45 mins cause I remembered I broke my pliers a while ago and never replaced them so I had to do it the old school way of a screw driver and hammer to pop off/on the snap ring. JOY!

Good luck finding one. MINI doesn't offer them seperate. We often need them when we do a 6spd swap on a Cooper.

I really just need to borrow one.

The reason why I want it ahead of time is because the DIY shop where I can use their lift charges $30/hr.

Let's say it takes me 1 hr to knock it off and put it back on. That will save me 1 hr at the Diy shop.

If I can't find one, I will just swap it but I'd like to have that luxury of doing it before my axle work

Do you have a buddy with a garage? Good ol jack stands and crawling underneath does it.
Side note, Wish I had a DIY shop around here. So many mods and services I'd be able to do on my own.

I have a garage and working on a Mini Cooper is an absolute pain in the *** on the floor.

Having a 2 post and somebody else's place to get dirty while not having to work on your back is such a blessing
