Hi all, My '05 MCS tail light covers are looking kind of foggy or hazy. Is there a way to clear them up or polish them in some way? I like to be seen when the brake lights come on!!

 

Best fix I can suggest is new taillights...
Pretty sure a few folks tried to polish them...but the plastic itself is what is hazy... Not the surface...my guess...a batch of out of spec plastic resin or maybe the plastic was attacked by some contaminates... Know rain-x can cause some plastic to cloud up....guessing there are others to...
Mine are a bit hazy...but not too bad...but sure not crystal clear like when new...

 

Hi, I have three, one is clear the others are kind of hazy, I could sell them all for $70 plus USA shipping.

 

You can get new ones here: There is a year split in 7/2004 . So you will want the 7/2004- ones with the additional backup light .

Sometimes they get a little cloudy on the lens with age, if you replace one with a new one, you will be able to tell which is the new one.

The have an enclosed housing. Depends also on what year you have for additional options.
