Newer 15X8 & 15X9 option for R56 S - Jongbloed
Newer 15X8 & 15X9 option for R56 S - Jongbloed

Seems like Jongbloed hasn't gotten much attention here.
I just tried today and the 15X9 I have does clear brakes on my R56 Cooper S.
They are made with the same dimensions as a 6UL it seems.
At $108 each for an 8 or 9 I don't think price can be beat, though they aren't the lightest.

For reference here they are on my Miata. In hindsight I should have gotten the large hub center one, but I got a Miata centric 54.1 so I'll need to have it trimmed out.

I had done a bunch of searching, decided to test fit. Hope this helps others.
15X9 +36 with a 15MM spacer does NOT fit rear.
It does fit front with the spacer, very little inside clearance but enough to be safe.
But it sticks out a lot. 1 degree of camber leaves it rather unsafe so I didn't run them.
Didn't try no spacer in front but I doubt it would fit due to inside clearance.

Yes, 205/50, sorry.
Offset? Not sure what I would need, but I am looking for 15in rims in the 7-8in flavor that are very light, and would clear without issue. I am lowering the suspension travel 1.25in, then of course the car will sit a bit lower with the 205/50s on there vs. stock tire diameter.
Thanks!

Tried fitting those 9's from my Miata.
Rear's will not fit, even with a 15MM spacer, +36 offset the inside hits trailing arm. Coilover spacing is not an issue. I'm on Swift springs and Koni yellows.
Front's will fit with the 15MM spacer. Suspension clearance is limited but sufficient. However it sticks out a lot and would rub without very high camber.

FYI there's quite a few newer 15" options that should fit R56 Minis.
We've got Konig, Advanti and Kosei (well more Kosei)
