'02 R50 interior door pull pad

can't seem to remove the pad from the door handle interior - the "knife-slide" under the pad to loosen the clip is not the way it would appear... can't seem to any instructions... can ya help a brother out?

Hmmmm... Ok, I found a drawing of what I think I have. Can't seem to find removal instructions though...

The early pads don't have a release clip - those showed up in '05. 02-04 they are taped/glued to the plastic handle and there are three teeny-tiny torx screws on the bottom that go into the pad. No rational way to remove them that I know of. If it must go, just yank it off and prepare to glue/tape it back. :/

Thanks... I think I'll work around the attached pad. BTW - how does one join the Politically Incorrect Owners Club?
