Upper Motor mount and transmission bushings

Does anyone know of any polyurethane bushings for the upper motor mount and the transmission mount?

I've not seen any poly replacements. I've already had to replace the passenger side motor mount once. I think the passenger side is fluid filled since you can poke the top and it's clearly got some hollow spaces in there. The trans mount is a more traditional rubber mount that you could probably remove and do the old window weld trick.

So I have been searching and there is nothing but, the stock ones. I think that I am going to make a solid one myself with some window weld by 3M. I have been seeing on a bunch of different car forums and there is a lot of pluses and very few negatives. So when I get around to it I will let you guys know.

Hi there,

Can I check what the driver behind the question is?

I have the uprated bush in the bottom engine mount however the rest is standard for my 60k mile car.

I'm putting about 285lb ft torque through it all and I'm starting to think that the original mounts I still have might be getting tired. Do you have some symptoms?

When my left front wheel goes over any small pot holes or bumps I get a knocking noise that I don't get from my front right. I can also feel the knocking through the gear stick a little bit.

I have the eibach uprated anti-roll bars with the uprated bushes, and the polyflex black rear bushes for the front wishbones. It passed its government test which normally picks up any suspension issues. I'm wonder if it's an engine noise..

Many thanks,
Steven

Your state inspection may have missed a loose or sloppy suspension bit, like swaybar link or bushing, or internal failure of a shock. I think that's the more likely cause of your clunk than a failed motor mount. On another note, folks should be ready for more vibration in the cabin if they replace factory mounts with poly mounts.

So to answer your question that even with a uprated lower mount I still get a lot of lurch from the motor while taking off. Also when I took it to my trusted mechanic for routine maintenance(too lazy at this time and I have 3 weeks till a deployment) he mentioned it in his inspection of the car.

True! Everything has pros and cons.
