Way Motor Works just got the NM Short Shifter Adapter for the F55 and F56 MINI. Just like their version for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 MINIs this is a simple slide on adapter that just installs from under the car. This Adapter will reduce the shifter throw by 20mm.

Looks rather simple. I have the Mini Connected Control Panel where you show the utility tray (step 14). Is this a pop out also or is there a different method to removal? I'm sure there's wires under there with a connector to unplug but just wondering how to get under there?

I don't see anything in the NM instructions about under the car.

 

Just installed one in my F56. No under the car install. Takes longer to remove the console then install the shifter.

 

The first and second generations were done from under the car. The third gen is much simpler.

what does this mod do for your shifting in manual ?

Is it really anything significant ?
