California Buyers

I just ordered an MCS from Julie at Classic Mini in Ohio. MSRP and 20% off all accessories. It will be shipped here to San Diego. She just got her allotment for September production and October delivery. Shipping will be in an enclosed transporter and will be about $1200...less if more of you from California order for this production run....think about it...don't forget you don't pay California any tax on the shipping  and Julie is great to work with

donhelix,

Aloha and welcome to NAM.
Great to hear from you and have fun with your MCS.
What color and options did you get?
What accessories did you get?

Any other plans for upgrades?

Why have it shipped? Fly out there and drive it back!

Choices

PW/PW.....people at work ask "What color"? and when I say "white" they get a puzzled look on their faces .......then I send them a file photo and they like it. Kind of a classic color. I just need to make sure now that it comes with the 2005 improvements like the MP3 radio and 170 hp. I ordered it with the sports pk, HK, wipers, computer, chrome int.and ext, anthr and gray space cloth, hard riding 17S's, heated seats (yes, I know I live in warm San Diego, but heated seats feel so comfy on a tired back sometimes...my other car has them...nice for travel when your back aches...)...that's it. I'm retiring this Dec. and don't want to use up my vacation time up, because we can cash it in...that's why I'm not driving it back...so after Dec, I have the rest of my life to drive back and forth to Starbucks I'm sure I never take the direct route... So, find me some more California buyers to get my shipping down. :-)

Upgrades

Forgot to answer this question...upgrades? probably just replace the runflats if they bother me as much as they do others...

I guess you're getting a group buy going I ordered from Classic MINI in the June group buy, haven't gotten it yet since they haven't shipped out the MINIs as of yet.

as for upgrades, rims and new tires seems to be on everyone's list. CAI is probably the next "must" do item. exhaust, header, pulley, ECU, that should be enough to keep you busy for awhile. You can get JCW performance for roughly $2k.
