2007 R52 Stud Size

I would measure but the car is in storage for the winter. Most online places suggest Mini switched to 14mm sometime in 2006, but I'm wondering if that is supposed to correspond to the release of the Gen. 2 hardtop. The R52 soldiered on for two more years, so does it have 12 mm studs or 14 mm studs? Any help would be appreciated (want to make some purchases before spring).

14mm. The size changed mid year even for the later 2006 R53's.

BTW, you are using the term "stud" incorrectly. BMW/MINI uses lug bolts (not studs, which are something different).

Thanks for the quick reply (and the correction ) I'm still getting used to using "lug" bolts instead of nuts.

the change over was at build date of 07/06 (at least for US cars). Prior to that they were 12mm. After, 14mm.

Yes all the 07 and 08 R52 Cabrios had 14mm x 1.25 wheel bolts
