18inch Breytons on a JCW Coupe
I have a Roadster S and run the Breyton GTS-R from Tire Rack with no rubbing issues, with 205/40/18s. I don't have the JCW brakes though, and I'm at stock ride height on sport suspension. Can't post pics right now but if you find the Ringing the Changes thread in the Roadster section you should find plenty.

Tire diameter needs to be 24.3" or close to that if used with OEM suspension.
You can check out the various sizes to see if they fit the rim width and what tire diameter they are. If you have questions try Alex@tirerack.com
The Breytons in 18" should fit OK with OEM suspension but tire sizes are going to be 40 or 35 series sidewalls for a very firm ride. Unless you have very smooth roads it might be jarring and bumpy for daily driving.
Consider Michelin Pilot Super Sport Max Summer tires, 300 treadwear
205/40-18 for $172 each, fits rims 7-8" wide, tire diameter 24.5".
Good street tire, great performance and handling in dry or wet and comfortable for daily use. If you need All Season tire due to use in colder weather then an Ultra High Performance All Season tire would be your top choice.

Up here in the northeast (America's home of the big pot hole), I advise MINI owners to avoid 18" wheels altogether. It's just not worth it. Having just visited Phoenix, I can see that the southwest is a different story.
I am in the Philly area and can attest to what Helix says. Last spring, I bought a set of Breyton Race GTS-R MINI 18x7 and have bent 3 and cracked one. I guess I should have kept my 17 OEM wheels for winter.
Are OEM wheels like the R113 more durable than the lightweight Breyton wheels? I would assume they are as they are heavier. I'm either going to get a set of R113 or get an extra Breyton and mount a tire as a spare plus buy a set of winter wheels/tires.

The R113 are on sale, they are a little heavier / thicker then most aftermarket but they are made by Ronal and a pretty nice wheel. Fits JCW brakes also. JCW GP2 cars brakes will need a 15mm spacer.
R113 ~ 23.1 pounds per wheel. Without tire.
We have them on sale right now with a wheel / tire package:

Thanks
