Will it fit?

Hi guys!
I wanted to get Lenso BSX's for my R50 this summer. Yet I'm not sure what dimensions and if they would fit..
I've seen that 16x9 all around would be too much poke in the front, or not?
So my question is if 16x7.5 - 4x100 ET25 would fit? Probably will run 205/40 tires!

And here my R50 in its current winter mode:

What suspension do you have? Lowered gives much less clearance.

What wheels and tires are you using now and how much clearance do you have?

Why do you want 16x9" wheels? And what offset? Would this be for looks? And what tires do you propose to use that will fit the R50?

Practically speaking if you have a lowered suspension which it looks like you do, then you have much less clearance for wide wheels and tall or wide tires. 16x7" is fine.

16x7.5" et 25 compared to OEM 16" wheels fit OK, they will be 10.3mm further from the inner suspension and poke out 35.7mm more which is a lot. You can sometimes use lots of rear negative camber or use a narrow tire and stretch fit it to tuck it under the wheel arches. Neither solution gives you optimal performance.

16x7.5" wheels can be used with 205/50-16 or 215/40-16 if you need more clearance.

A search of tirerack.com shows that for 205/40-16 there are no available tires.
Discounttiredirect shows a few matches.

16x9" is not easy to fit, using et 20 as an example puts it 3.8mm closer to inner suspension parts and pokes out 59.8mm. While it is possible to put an extra wide tire on the rim you may have to cut the wheel arch plastic to make an extra large wheel opening.
225/45-16 can fit rims up to 8.5" so they can work with a 9" wide rim, but they are best used with 7.5" wide rims for a perfect fit.

Stock 16x6.5" wheels are ET48.
You can go wider, but as you lower the car, front tires will start rubbing on the inside (can fix with spacers), and rears on the outside wheel arches (SOL).

If you want 205mm wide tires, you do NOT need any wider wheels than stock 16x6.5's. 205/55-16's will fit perfectly, as will 225/50-16's.
The Bridgestone recommended optimal wheel widths for 225/50 tires is 5.5-7.5". Going with 16x9" wheels would be silly on many counts:
- the wheel may not fit at all (+1.25" on each side!!!), and likely bind on the strut tower.
- tire will look comically stretched on the wheel, and will not perform well.
- the wheel will be ridiculously heavy for no good reason.

205/40-16 is not a size that will match factory rolling diameter (-8.13% smaller rolling diameter), but also, there are NO tiers in that size!

I would suggest getting your priorities and goals straight, before blindly shopping for unavailable tires to go on ridiculously wide wheels.

Hope this helps,
a
