Okay, anyone with an aftermarket steering wheel, please help.

Preface: I'm frustrated. I've looked here, on MiniTorque, etc. All of the references, and cannot find the answer or even something that remotely helps answer the following question, so please no "have you tried searching" or links to other threads, thanks.

Which steering wheel hub is the best choice, or most used, for an aftermarket steering wheel swap? Please don't preach about safety etc. My car is a work in progress and I have a 5-point harness on its way right now, so…

I've heard both "useable" MOMO hubs (the #2008 and #2012) require machining and that the cost of that almost doubles the price of the hub. That doesn't sound practical at all for a hub that is supposedly manufactured for this specific vehicle. I have read ONE post suggesting the OMP OD/1960BM784A hub works well, and then I've read that the excessively priced Works Bell #2212 is "the best choice" but I'm sorry, I don't have almost $300 to pay for just a hub, so that one is out.

So, is there anyone with experience regarding this issue that can point me in a direction? Part numbers, etc? Is anyone trying to get rid of a used Works Bell 2212 for like $100…?

The Works Bell doesn't need any drilling like the OMP does, but 1 lil hole isn't work at all.
