I installed the BSH R56 Oil Catch Can back in December 2012. I does catch the oil.

But, I am now very annoyed that the dip stick rod seems to be made of plain iron! Everything else is very well made, the welds, the crackle paint, the turned aluminum dipstick cap, and the aluminum angle mount.

But come on, NOT using STAINLESS STEEL for the dip stick, really?

 

I've had some rusty looking stuff on my OCC, but it came off with some solvent. In the summer time I don't collect much in there, but there is crap that accumulates on the stick. Winter time I get lots of water in there, so the stick is cleaned every week when I drain it.
