R60 Removing dash endcap 2015
Removing dash endcap 2015
I need to remove the dash endcap to run a wire down to the fusebox but it is either on there really tight or has clips I do not know about. Any tips on getting it off without hurting anything?
-Nevermind, it was just really wedged in there. It finally came out without damage.

I wound up inserting a pocketknife blade in the curved section closest to me (furthest from the firewall) just enough to get a flathead screwdriver in and then prying. Mine was scary tight but did just pop loose without damage.
Once that side was loose the bottom takes a little fiddling to get removed as it has a tab that goes inside the dash on the front side.
Putting it back you should insert the bottom front tab first, then the back three tabs and finally it should just snap back into place.
I wound up doing this three times, still no damage. The materials seem pretty good.

Thanks TJANK for the drawing and Flea77 for the tips! This will make the job easy for running the wire from the fuse box to the visor for my V1. Last time on my 2012 CM I had to snake the wire through? I did not want to pull on the panel and break it.
