Did iOS 8 break my Mini?

maybe not that dramatic, but ever since I've upgraded my iPhone to iOS 8, selecting music and playlists can not be be accomplished by "enter" / pressing down on rotatory ****. I have to hit play on the iPhone itself. This used to work as expected when I had iOS7. I've tried using a old iPhone with iOS7 and it still works as expected, I've tried another phone with iOS8 and no joy (still have to touch the phone). Has anyone else experienced this and (hopefully) found a cure?

Please note, Apple will not allow you to downgrade the phone (lame, lame, lame)

Which model iPhone do you have. I am using a 6 plus running iOS 8.12 and no issues. Maybe a restore in iTunes is in order.

Yes, do a restore (on the phone), back it up - wipe it - and restore it. I had the same issue as you do.

Besides fixing the Mini issue you'll gain back a TON of storage space.

I freed' up almost 2.5 GB!
