What is this?

As soon as I took off my wheel today to work on my brakes I noticed a glorious mess. It seems to have come from a hose/line that somehow ruptured. It attaches to what seems to be an electrical module behind the wheel hub on the driver's side control arm. I don't know what it is. It's not on the other side.
I attached a photo
The yellow air shows where it broke and the red arrow is the part in question.

Does this have something to do with DSC?

Not sure what the Electrical Module is for, but all that grease is appears to be coming from your CV joint. Maybe the CV rubber boot blew out and rubbed against the electrical wire casing?

Alien brain rupture ............

No really it the grease from the boot. Either boot cracked or clamp loose and grease found its way out.
