Tires

Need to replace my tires soon. Does anyone have thoughts on a another brand of run flats at a decent price point?

Bridgestone 960AS or Bridgestone DriveGuard. Check TireRack.com.

I bought Pirelli Winter 210 Sottozero Tires from Mini dealer, had a 4 for the price of 3 installed. Was a good deal.

Continental SSR

When it came time to replace tires on my GF's convertible she went with the Continental SSR3 via TireRack and we had the local PepBoys install. Those made it a total different ride, much quieter and not as harsh over bumps as the stock BridgeStones. I plan on putting the Continental SSR5 (I think that is the one I priced) on when my tires finally wear out. I am almost at 30k w/my original RFs?!? I am about 4/32 5/32 according to my dealer inspection when I went in for service last week.

They are not cheap, I'm looking at about 1,200, but if the ride improves like hers did I will be very happy.

Toyo Tires. I'd stay away from run flats. They are really bumpy.

I'm in the same boat with both of our Countrymans. My S has the 18's and I'm considering the Bridgestone DriveGuard run-flats. The reviews I've read on them are positive. Just curious if you pulled the trigger on your decision yet, and what you went with and whether you are happy.

For my wife's non S, with 17's, it doesn't look like the Bridgestone DriveGuard comes in the 205 55 r17 size. So I may stick with the Conti SSRs that it came with.
