Non US R53s have the dial adjuster to manually control the headlight height. It's p/n 61318360460. What I'm wondering is will that work on my car if I retrofit it? I assume the European cars have the sensors on the control arms too, but they have some additional control with the switch.

Has anyone verified that US R53s even have the wiring for that switch?

It would be ahead of your left knee behind the bolster. That's where the switch is on the cars that have it.

Euro cars without xenon headlights did not get auto adjusters and do not have the ride sensors on the arms, they got manual switches.

Euro cars with xenon all got auto adjust with the ride sensors.

Your NAS car will not have the wiring for the manual adjust switch.

Yea, I looked behind the dash and I did not see any wiring for the adjustable roller. On our euro cubby the blank spot is for that switch in countries that require a manual switch adjustment. In the US we never had this.

We include the blank insert as the US cars don't use the 61318360460 manual switch that goes there.
