Thinking about a roadtrip, need opinions of maintenance
So first the bad news. My wife wants to separate and she says there's no way to make it work. We have two young daughters also.
The good news; I want to take a roadtrip solo from Ottawa to the Canadian Rockies area. No final destination is planned.
My car has been sitting for a while because I didn't have the money to get the rear crank seal replaced. With the money from selling our house I'll be able to get it fixed and get some other things done as well. Here is a full list of what I've done to the car since I got it. I'm looking for opinions on anything else that could/should be replaced before the roadtrip in the spring.
Downstream O2 Sensor
Low speed fan resistor
Serpentine belt
AC Clutch coil
Crank Sensor O-Ring
Starter
Battery
Brake Caliper - Rear Right
Brake Fluid flush
Parking Brake cables L+R
PowerFlex Front Control Arm Bushings
PowerFlex Front Sway bar bushings
Front Inner ball joints
Front outer ball joints
PowerFlex Lower Engine mounts
M7 Front strut top reinforcement plates
New tires mounted and installed
Clutch Kit, SPEC stage 1
Fidanza Solid Aluminum Flywheel
Throw-out bearing
PowerFlex Gearbox Bushings
Input Shaft seal
Throw-out Arm bushings
Shifter cables
I will be doing the plugs and wires this week before it goes to the shop for the seal.
Here is a list of things that I would like to get done.
Rear crank seal
Powerflex Rear trailing arm bushing inserts
Fix my sloppy shifter (Ford Focus SVT shifter bushing)
Belt tensioner
One-ball mod
Fresh oil change right before leaving for the roadtrip

I would say tire alignment and steering check, and oil are probably the most important on the car. But if I have any room to speak I'd focus on your kids before the car. I'm not telling you how to raise your kids but growing up is hard, growing up with split parents sucks too. I would put your kids before your happiness. Sorry if this is out of place or in any way offensive man, but best of luck to you and hope everything turns out for the better.
Back story
You're not out of place and I don't take offence at all. My family, including my wife, have always been my first priority and myself second. I have been nothing but a good father and husband. My wife has had some postpartum depression since our second child (now 2.5 yrs old) and I always thought that's why she was so distant from me. 4 weeks ago she drops the bomb on me that she doesn't want to be with me any more and has no interest in trying to make it work. I still think that she has some hormone imbalances but she refuses to accept my help. I've been a wreck the last 4 weeks, I didn't see any of it coming.
That said, I will need to get away for a little while after this all blows over (house sold, move out, settle down and spend time with my little girls). I'd like to spend some time by my self to both reflect and get my mind off things.
The car goes in tomorrow (Wed) for the shop to get started on it. Getting the rear crank seal, rear trailing arm inserts (I've had them for a while), one ball mod and finally an alignment. I will do my own oil change when it gets back.

Truly sorry to hear that man. Truly am. Well wish the best luck to you man, Driving has always helped me with problems I've have (although they are so trivial compared to yours). Drive safe and enjoy the hell out of the supercharger and one ball
