Treating myself to a new windshield Monday!

I bought my 2008 in 2010 with 37000 miles on it. The windshield was sandblasted from its highway experiences with the original owner. I decided to live with it because I know a rock hits the new windshield the week after it is installed and didn't want to tempt fate. I have switched jobs and now travel 700 miles a week leaving during sunrise and returning during sunset several days a week. I have 112000 on it now and I can no longer see when that sun in blaring through the glass. That prompted me to make the leap. It will be like a brand new car tomorrow! Excited and praying that I get some time out of it before the inevitable visits me. I ordered the Roadrash Dr. Colorchip kit, so after that, I'm yanking off my stripes, filling my 9000 little stone chips, and installing a new set of the same black/white stripes. Should look like new again very soon! Keeping this car for the long haul, so I have to make it look like it is young! Just wanted to share. Also to make the car feel more special, I received 4 set of waves from other mini drivers yesterday! I love this Mini lifestyle!

If you are thinking of tinting the windshield, all the way or just down to the AS1 line, it is way easier for the installer to do a great job with the glass laying flat on a table. Someone even makes a clear tint that blocks UV rays

Food for thought
