Countryman and Two Dogs

Hi All,
I am looking to purchase a 2011-2012 CM4, but I need to consider room to accommodate our two 50 pound spaniels. I would like to know if half of the rear seat can be folded down to fit a dog crate for one of my dogs. Our second dog would be in a harness on the other half of the rear seat. (She refuses to be crated.) The closest Mini dealer is 140 miles away making it difficult to try one for size.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Depending on the size of the crate, that might be fine. With my 2012 with the bench seat, With one side and the center section of the rear seat folded down, I measure 25" wide x 30" high x ~44" deep. The depth depends on the position of the front seat.

CTScott: Thanks for providing me with the measurements. His crate will fit easily. Really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question.

I often remove my rear seats simply with removing the 4 rear nuts and 4 front torx bolts to make more room for my dogs on long trip.

GR's!! the best dogs EVER...we have 3...two of them are 5 and 4 months old....you know we are having fun-I should say they are the best dogs ever, once they grow up.

We have the lounge leather like you but the wife's CM JCW is a no-dog zone

they have to rough it in my Tundra pickup truck...but that's ok....field dogs and trucks go together nicely!

I ordered cargo net option. Comes with four mounting locations. Had to be ordered since the t hook slots on top are welded into roof and have nice looking head liner cups put in.

This is made by thier seatbelt supplier it is rugged and will protect me from flying friends and protect them in a crash. There is a picture in my gallery.
