We just got our Mini last month and have driven it for about 300 mile and have notice that the seat belt light is coming on for no apparent reason. Has anyone else had this problem? It looks like a short, because it flickers whenever we go over a bump in the road. I am also wondering about the trunk release. In the Mini manual it indicates an emergency pull ring under the back seat for opening the trunk. I pulled the back seat up and could not find it anywhere. Does anyone else have the same problems.

Other than these small problems, the car has really been great and I looking forward to taking it to the beach this week to fully use up the breakin mileage.

The emergency pull-ring boot release was apparently not put into the US version but still shows up in the manual.

This is not a good system. If the battery dies in the remote key how do you get into the trunk?

Thanks for your response.
