Any NAM members attending the US Vintage Gran Prix at Watkins Glen International this coming weekend? The event starts in 5 days in Watkins Glen New York. Last year they celebrated the Mini. This year it's the MG. Amazing rare cars racing the track, beautiful country side in The Finger Lakes Region of New York, Winery's, great motoring along Seneca Lake, Cayuga Lake and others. It's a great time as you can walk and park basically anywhere. Walking the pits with the cars, owners and drivers is quite an experience. Hope to see other Mini owners there.

I'm an hour away and east of the track. I got hooked on the event last year. I have always loved the Finger Lakes area, and the countryside amongst all the lakes. Combine rare and classic cars and Watkins Glen and it a winner. Friday they reenact the US Gran Prix through the streets of Watkins Glen. Prior to that all the cars are parked downtown with the owners for a meet and greet. Awesome opportunity to see post war racers and everything up through beautifully restored 1970's Trans Am race cars.
