Want more supercharger whine?

Remove the cabin air filter!

This is totally temporary, I'm getting a new one first thing tomorrow. I took my old one out and it looked like this.

Yes, those are shredded up shoelaces. No idea how that happened. It was so old that the plastic broke when I was trying to knock all the stuff out so there was no putting it back.

I'm sure that this is not good for your health or the car but it sure sounds great! All the noise from the intake is now heard through the passenger footwell!

Again, this is totally temporary and will be taken care of asap. Just thought I'd share. The high pitched chirping noise is not audible in person. My phone just seemed to pick it up for some reason. It was sitting in my cup holder.

Better check for mice! That is a mouse nest. I see these all the time in our service department

I was just told about this the other day, it happens because the pull is right on the other side of the air filter. I was surprised by how much of a difference it makes.

I was really surprised too, but it honestly makes the s/c whine so loud to the point where its almost becomes obnoxious. I'd definitely recommend trying it just for how easy it is to go back and forth with (the filter takes like 30 seconds to take in and out) but I'm not sure if I could live with it every day. If you love the s/c whine so much you want to hear it more, do it and thank me later, however

And I'm definitely thinking that it was some sort of nest in there. I'm just totaly puzzled because there were no odours in my car, I never found any sort of droppings, and my car is garage kept all year round. I guess it must have been there since before I purchased the car and whatever was in there has long since moved out.

Add that to the " look what I found this in my cabin filter " thread. Yea looks like a nest.
