Excellent condition. Has two sensors for the dimming and tried it on my '05.
For 1st Gens, you may need to split mirror apart and swap door locking modules, (not too difficult to do).

Can you be specific about the door lock module swap for 1st gen?

 

The circuit board that send and receives the signal to lock/unlock your door is located in the mirror. It's a small unit with the same terminals between (to my knowledge, Gen1 and Gen2 MINIs). I had done the swap with a previous mirror and self-dimming worked, the home link buttons worked, but the doors could not be programmed.
At that point, I disassembled the mirror and swapped out the little circuit boards and then, worked fine. They look a little different, but still fit in the mirror assembly.
