Over the weekend, I officially became a Mini Man for the first time. I purchased a one owner green Mini Cooper S with 96k on the odo in remarkably good condition. It's a delight to drive.

As I settle into it, I know there are some things I'd like to do to make I more comfortable daily driver. And, I love to get feedback from you all.

Here's my shopping list, so chime in with what you feel are the best options.

1. Center arm rest
2. Spare tire kit
3. Grill mounted driving lights and covers
4. Seat cover for my dog
5. Replacement front floor mats

The "euro" mini OEM armrest IMO is the best...easy to install...strong...matches the car well...
For a patch kit...various ones are around...some prepackaged, some diy...
But a 12v compressor, a plug like "dynaplug" and some slime is a good start...and a AAA CARD if the worst happens!!
For floor mats...have had the rubber OEM since new...depends on what you want...function or luxury...some like COCO mats...IMO nothing beats OEM fit...not even "laser measured".. Lol.

 

If no maintenance records are available the following may improve a commuter's comfort level: Change all the fluids-- coolant,brake,oil, transmission and PS fluid in the reservoir only. I use tyreshield in our non runflat tires and carry an inflator kit. Congrats

No , that's for gen 1 MINIs.

You have a Gen 2 MINI: Very similar but direct fit for the Gen 2 R55 R56 R57 & R58 R59 Models, without the factory armrest.
