[HI] HMMC June 19, 2004 Photos
Let's post the photos from today here. What a great gathering! Great job keiki for getting the word out. My passenger to the right looked like this on the way home
- and I was going as slow as I could too!
the_beastmaster, thanks for saving me from going the wrong way.
Almost got lost. I have no idea how that long wagon got around the corners Bryan!

Thanks keikilani!
Nice seeing so many nice MINIs today parked nicely in a row.
Hey, Keikilani was really moving along on the way down.
I think she is ready for autocross very very soon. Too bad not all the autocross runs are downhill exclusively.
I think I scared that mongoose...
after he dodged keikilani's wheels.
Hey we even say a nice IB/W MCS parked on the side as we were going down so we honked!
Next time lets pick another scenic place or the Waipio district park.

WOW! 12 MINI's today....awesome! I was so happy to see so many new faces. I hope you all had fun!
DaKineMINI...you're daughter is a gem, just the cutest thing. Please do thank her again for the lovely drawing she made for me. It's being diplayed proudly on my refrigerator right next to Flat Stanley.
minihune....for fear of being called a "slow poke" i was really hauling some butt out there today. My MC and all your MCS' really made me nervous. Luckily I have years of experience driving on that road, so I could set a pretty good pace.
Thanks to everyone who came out to play today. The weather held up and we had the park all to ourselves. The highlight for me was experiencing DaKineMINI, kbseto and MINIAngelD's MCS'. Whoa.....tons of fun....I still look like this:
I wish I knew how to post a pic here....after i figure it out...I'll post the ONE pic that I took today!

I got pics, but i'll link them off Roadfly after they are approved. For some reason this new board was unable to make thumbnails of my pics.
As for the meet, it was great. The drive through the twisties made it even better! Following you guys in my wagon made me see how good the MINIs are in the twisties! I hung WAAAAY back as the wagon was pretty big to navigate and really down on the power.
BTW, did you guys see the DLNR Police after the single lane bridge? They looked pretty pissed by the time I reached them.

yah!!! oh my gosh...the DLNR guys were yelling at me to slow down...and my thought was "and I'm just the first MINI...wait till they see the bunch following me!" I just waved at them and yelled out a "SORRY!" as I drove by! I even spotted a MINI on the way down...I beeped my horn, but the driver didn't seem too excited to see me.
glad i went, as i got a chance to see everybody, both old and new. plus i got to meet my mini twin.
that single lane bridge thru me off for a bit...i thought i took a wrong turn and was going straight down to ala mo.
felt sorry for that white volvo couple. all these minis just waiting for an opportunity to fly by.
then those dlnr guys just staring at, well, me, as i was kinda a bit inbetween minis. at least we did get some cheers from those construction boyz.
i did get a chance to wave at that parked ib mini on the way down, and the driver did wave back.
btw, did anybody smell something burning on the way down?

Yes, kbseto has a twin BRG MCS with painted wheel arches.
I saw the couple in the Volvo waving when we let them go down the hill in peace while we regrouped and again when we passed them not long after.
Yeah the construction workers had some fun counting the MINIs go by.
Something burning? Sure that wasn't some furry creature taking a nap in one of your Miltek tailpipes?
Happy Fathers day to all the MINI Dads out there!
oh my god....i got kissy noises from those construction boys. NASTY!
ghui - we missed you out there yesterday! Next event is on July 24th...mark your calendar!
Ok, so back to the point of this thread....who got pics? I wanna see more pics.

kissy noises? i didn't get any. just the "shaka bruddah", as i gave them the "wassup wave".
so, did you wave back with the "flirty wave" or the "take off, eh" wave?
only pic i have are me and my new-found twin, as my cam is kinda cheapy and doesn't allow for zooming. believe it or not, this is my first cam i own, not counting the disposables.

trying to post pics here
please help me with how-to post pics...i'm trying the insert image tab, but not sure what to stick in the blank space. pics are from my new phone cam i was testing out. sent 'em to my e-mail and saved 'em on my hard drive and as desktop icon. now what?
Kyle - You can't upload from your computer! You have to post it to a site and then use the IMG code to link the pic. Go to the Hawaii section and click on the Announcement:Forum Migration info, access the NAM Gallery, then the Hawaii Gallery and upload your pics there. After they are loaded, click onto your pic in the gallery, right click-properties, then highlight the URL info and then use this infor for the IMG tags.
i'm helpless
guess what? still can't post pics...basically i try to add foto in the hawaii section of the gallery, but get the message "error, unable to make thumbnail".
anybody wanna offer me their e-mail so i can e-mail the few pics i got and stick'em in the gallery for me?
i think i had enuff of this computer lesson for the day. i think i get an "F" for futless.
i'm gonna go surfing now. and try again later.

kyle - I got the same message so I posted them on Roadfly.org. You can do the same. Go to the MINI section and click on photo gallery, add photos. Then upload your pics by browsing your files and choosing the ones you want.
