Noisy yokohamas after 15000 miles
Noisy yokohamas after 15000 miles
After about 15000 miles on my envigors the rear tires starting getting noisy because they are wearing on the inside of tire due to the camber minis have. My dealer rotated them to the front and the noise is twice as loud then before. If any of you had this same issue and rotated to front will the tires quiet down when they wear in? Btw, my dealer told me most people need new tires just after 20000 miles! Also, I don't drive like I stole it and most of the miles are highway.

Likewise, I have mine rotated and balanced every 3.5K miles since the very beginning. I am running an all-season Michelin AS/3 with 50K warranty. Planning on to see how far I could go with this kind of discipline. Last set of tires I had (from a different car), made it 80K miles which were religiously rotated and balanced every 5K miles.
I drive 120 miles a day with 90% freeway driving against rush hour and only deal with 4 traffic lights combined. Cruising speed at an average of 75 mph that uses 36.XX mpgs.

Eventually you should see some reduction in the noise now that they are rotated. That said, since you waited so long, it may be a while before you can tell.
When I had my S.Drives, the road noise started to get pretty bad at about 18,000 miles. Your Envigors should be able to last a whole lot longer though, so I wouldn't expect significant noise for some time if you can get the damage done from the lack of rotations worked out.
As others have noted, rotate every 5k miles or so.
Also, I'd find a different source for tires and tire work than the dealer.
