Need advise on tires

I have a 2012 Countryman all4, and have about 21,000 miles on the car. My tires are starting to make a lot of noise, and I brought it into Mini, and of course they are telling me I need to get new tires. I wanted to know peoples opinions of the tire I have on my car now: 205/55R17 Continental ContiProContact SSR Blackwall Run Flat VS. 205/55R17 Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat Blackwall BMW, Run Flat.
I know many people have gone the non run flat route, but I need my trunk space for my work equipment, and don't feel safe not having a spare.

Thanks for any help.

P7 is $141 vs $182 for the Conti at TireRack. The ContiPro is a dated design. Both of our cars came with them. We don't like them.

Our Clubman came with Conti RFT, hated them! Noisy harsh ride. Switched to Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus (non RF) and it was the best improvement we could have made to the car!

We were told that we didn't have a spare since the car came with RFT. Not true, after removing the 1st floor in the back, then removing what we thought was the bottom of the "trunk", there was another layer with a donut and jack!

I just switched to the Pirelli P7 all-season (non-RF) and what a difference. I was a little skeptical of everyone else assuming they were overexaggerating... It really does change the car for the better. I also upped it to a 225/50/17. Highly recommended!

To the OP - do you have AAA or anything? That is what eased my mind on not going run-flat.

I am also looking at going to non RF tires and the stock tires are 205/55 17. My question is I am also looking at going to 225/50 17 and wanted to know how the tire looks on the stock wheels. Do the tires like they are stretched to much. If you have a picture that would be great.

I got some 225/50 17 tires today and here is a picture so you can see how they look on the factory wheels.

Installed the P7 225/50-17 Non-RFT last weekend. What a huge difference and it feels amazing.

Glad I got rid of the RFT.
