R56 Abnormal Puffs of Smoke on accel.
Abnormal Puffs of Smoke on accel.
Ok, just trying to get a feel from everyone on an oddity that happened today. It has actually happened one other time as well. Today while driving my '07 S I was behind some one who was turning. While slowing down, I blipped the throttle when I down shifted to rev match the shift. Down to 3rd gear I went and as soon as the person turned I put it to the floor. I was still going about 40mph or so, so I wasn't trying to race, just trying to hear the intake and exhaust sing for a moment before I let off. But it was short lived. When I put it down, a second or less later it stumbled slightly and a large puff of greyish smoke came out the tailpipe. I let off and thought that quite odd. So I shifted to 4th to slow the engine slightly and put it down again. It happened again. Both times this happened today there was also a clicky type sound. Almost like an angry squirrel if you know what I mean.
The smoke and stumble has not happened again, but every once in a while I can make the squirrel noise happen. It sounds like the BOV is sticking. Its new from WMW. I just changed the oil 2 weeks ago. Oil level is fine. Catch can is empty, odd because that's been in for 2 months now and still barely anything in there.
Any Thoughts?

It happened to me once as well. I was swiftly accelerating up a hill. It happened right before my service appointment and I had the dealership check it out. There were no codes pulled/stored. I am thinking some bad gas maybe as it never happened again.
