Name this R56 electrical connector
Folks - HELP,
After engine swap (that went well, more on that later), I re-assembled everything w/out spare parts, except for this one orphaned connector in front of the driver-front wheel well. The entire front nose of the car came off, so it's exact location remains to be determined.
It could belong either below in the driver front wheel well, above it near the driver headlight area, or inside the engine bay. It's connected to the wiring loop that splits near the driver-front transmission mount area, and has about a foot and a half of length to go somewhere. I've been looking around, and can't find its home.
Pictures below.
Strangely, the car ran just fine on a test drive with it unplugged. However, I really want to find its mate and complete the circuit.
Does anyone know what connector this is, and to what sensors it should connect?
TIA,
a

OK, I get to answer my own Q.
The plug in question is the electric fan connector.
I had allowed it to drop into the wheel well during engine re-install, and had to loosen and move the washer fluid reservoir to snake it back into the engine bay.
Thanks to chappybmode for offline suggestions.
