2012 JCW ABS delay in shut off
2012 JCW ABS delay in shut off
This past weekend at our autocross event I noticed at the end of the same straight and into a tight turn the ABS would not disengage quick enough. It would continue braking for a split second which was very annoying. I know this cost me time and threw me off. I probably would have been first in PAX without the issue (just missed first by a couple tenths).
Is it possible that the stock brake fluid could cause this? Or possibly air in the lines? The pedal is not as firm as it was when I flush the system with my power bleeder, but its not spongy at all an no brake fade? I would hope the dealer would fully bleed the air from the system. I experienced funny braking last season and flushed the stock fluid with ATE Type 200 and did not seem to experience the problem. The dealer recently did the 2 year flush under warranty and now stock fluid is back in the car. I am going to flush again with ATE 200 before the next event to see if that helps. I am running Carbotech AX6 pads up front and stock pads in the rear. Tires are 215/40/17 Direzza ZII's...
