R50/53 Canadian Car Of The Year?
The last week of October is when The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) holds it's annual "Test Fest" at Shannonville Motorsport Park near Belleville Ontario (an hour and a half east of Toronto, for those of you who are geographically minded).
They drive more than 50 different 2003 vehicles from nine separate categories in order to determine the Car and Truck of the Year.
They LOVE the Cooper S - high praise for it's amazing handling and "spirited" acceleration.
Apparently it's a top contender for overal Car of the Year!

Thanx for the post =R=. Interesting numbers. The MCS did fairly I guess. A 7.38 0-100km/h. Surprised at the 80-120km/h readings though. The Civic Si seemed to have picked up speed in that area. As did the Mazda Speed Protege. Looked liked it really hauled. We still beat the PT Cruisers though. Even with their turbo version. Bah.
