R60 Mini Pickup
Mini Pickup
I just found some pictures of a Mini Pickup (based on Paceman) on motortalk.de.
The car was made by trainees from BMW. It will never make it into production.
Nevertheless I'd like to share the pictures with you:

I like the nothing about it. I like the countryman and Paceman, but this vehicle is a joke. It has less passenger space and less cargo capacity and less towing capability than the short lived Subaru Baja, without the Japanese reliability. Doesn't even appear to be lifted to improve ground clearance.
Lift it, give it 3" more suspension travel, put a really strong bash plate under the engine and rear differential, put on some high-profile narrow nobby all-terrain tires, extend the load bed and then you'll have a marginally useful vehicle.
But as it is, this is a half-done style exercise. Form over function, and damn little function.
