2nd gen oem gps mount retrofit on r53

i saw the 2nd gen gps mount on ecstuning

wondering if this can be made to retrofit on an r53?
(i know anything can be made to retrofit), but I'm wondering if just lining up the holes with the back of the tach or speedo and drill holes in the bracket may work.
(i have the chrono package)

I believe MINI did have factory mount for the GPS on Gen 1 MINI for the front near the tach. For the 360 or 1260. I also believe it mounts to the left hand side of the tach. Not too much info on the older stuff, but this is what I have.

Here are some pics: Mount only and the GPS. Check the back of the dual mickey mouse ears on the chrono pack and see if its like the rear tach on the single tach. Might work.

Kuda have a dash mount too. It's a no-holes mount. It has a flat leather face and you screw into it to mount you r desired bracket with four provided screws.
