Looking for better cornering performance

Good morning everyone,

(Hope this is the right place to post this question.) I recently purchased an 05' MC Convertible with an automatic tranny. Yes, it is a little low on horsepower, but it does seem to meet my needs for now. (I have thoughts of ordering a new Mini hardtop in the future.) I had the opportunity to drive a 12' MCS for a week while they were preparing me Mini for delivery. The MCS had fantastic cornering and it had no options added to it and was riding on 16" all season tires.

What can I change on my 05' MC to get this kind of handling? It has the stock 15" wheels with all season tires and no other performance updrades. I am just looking better/tighter cornering.

Thanks in advance!
