So as the subject says, I've been trying to change the bulbs in the forward map light. Do I just pry the whole thing out of the headliner? I've searched and searched but haven't found info.

Ok r34king, I don't think prying is possible with the R53. bmwr606 those instructions are for the R60, not the same. Has anyone else tried changing the bulbs of the map light in an R53. I didn't think I had to mention R53 as this is a 1st gen sub-forum

 

i searched too and those were the only instructions for any map lights i found ... thought it might have helped

 

For the front map lights pry harder. The map lights in the middle have 2 screws holding the housing on under the lenses for the dome light
