Hello im currently looking at a set of BBS wheels that have 195/50/ 16 tires mounted on them. The rims are 16x8 with a +23 offset, will i have a fitment issue with stock height or i should be fine?

 

195/50-16 tires are smaller in tire diameter than OEM at 23.7", this increases wheel gap with stock suspension by about 0.4". This tire size fits rims 5.5-7" wide, perfect fit for 6" wide rim. In your case using a 8" wide rim would give you are very stretched tire look, is that what you want?

Using that 16x8" rim on the MINI it will stick out 44mm more than OEM which is very far.

I don't think it is a very good choice for a wheel, less offset, say 36-40mm would look better, sticking out about 27-30mm more than OEM.

While it's not going to rub due to the stock suspension and small tire size it would not look very good.

This same wheel and tire might look good to some if you were to slam the suspension down as far as it can go and add front adjustable camber plates and rear lower adjustable control arms to dial in excessive negative camber to tuck in the tire under the wheel arch. This is more in line with the stretched tire look. Note that these changes are cosmetic in nature.

 

Thanks for the input I actually passed on the deal. The bbs rims ended up being knockoffs.

And you are right it would have looked dumb.
