any updates on Paceman deals?

I'm starting to be tempted by the Paceman, so while we were looking at a CPO countryman for my girlfriend we decided to run some numbers on a Paceman. I'd seen on Mini.com that they were advertising leases for S and S ALL4 with $0 down for between $250 and $300/month. That, coupled with the fact that I've read these aren't flying out the door and the fact that it'd be a two car deal, I thought they'd work with us. The salesman was the least motivated individual I've ever encountered in my life. We were looking at a CPO countryman that's obscenely overpriced which they've had since September and a Paceman - two cars you'd think they'd want to move. He told me that they'd take the car wash off the Countryman so that'd be like $80 off and it was all they could do and quoted me $475 on a Paceman lease. The Paceman number sounded ridiculous to me, what do you guys think?

That's a super high number. I've got a 14 Absolute Black on Carbon Black with Cold Weather Premium and Xenons, 31k dollar car, and got out the door for 304.11/mo. That's with 3k in negative equity carried over.

Granted, all of that depends on where you are located, credit score and other factors.

wow nice deal. Credit score is all good, dealer just sucks. we were working on a 2 car deal and the guy didn't give a flying crap. He offered to deliver the countryman my gf was interested in without gas and unwashed and take $80 off - and this was on a CPO car they've had since september. Not to mention my family has been customers of their BMW store for 15 years...doesn't matter, my parents were already done with them after my mothers last factory ordered 750 was delivered missing a few options and they didn't care. It's sad how some family businesses fall apart when they're passed on to the next generation.

You are definitely dealing with a ******** dealer. Where are you located? I work at a BMW MINI dealer in Southern Ohio if you're close. I know we can do leagues better than that.

Thanks for the offer! Unfortunately I'm on Long Island. My mother has a good relationship with the former service manager of that BMW store(when they used to be good) and he's moved on to a dealer a little further away, but luckily they're a dealer with a Mini store. He put me in touch with someone in their sales department and I'm meeting with him today.

I got my Paceman from Prestige Mini of Mahwah in New Jersey. Not too far from you. Check their website, they had Paceman S's for I think $249 a month with almost nothing down and a huge inventory. My Mini Advisor was Dean Mulligan. He was great and if you go see him PM me for my name and Dean will know. He just called me to congratulate me on my 6 month anniversary of owning my Paceman and to make sure all was well with not only the car but my life in general. Phenomenal service.

The $249 is on a vehicle with almost no options. Unfortunately those don't exist and 8.6% NY tax kills me. The best I've gotten is around 370/mo with tax rolled in.

I was actually very interested in a gray demo Paceman Prestige had. During the day it's hard for me to be on the phone uninterupted and the salesman I've been dealing with refuses to email me. He calls me at 6 o'clock and tells me he's going home for the day and I should call him tomorrow after I've told him five times that email is the absolute best way to get me during the work week.

After being frustrated by Prestige I headed over to Southampton Mini and met a gentleman by the name of Mark Wyatt. This is the guy everyone on here should be buying their cars from. I went in there with not a clue what I wanted and i was pretty undecided as far as leasing vs buying. I was considering the Clubman and the Paceman and he was happy to show me both and run numbers on both. Then I made the mistake of sitting in the new hardtop they had sitting in the showroom. That was all it took. I'm fighting the demons inside to not buy a first model year, but I think i'll cave towards the end of summer. Hopefully towards the end of the first model year they'll have a lot of kinks worked out.
