firmware change

I recently took my 2012 MINI Hardtop S in for periodic service (21K miles). They changed the firmware and now many of the programmable options are gone:
(1) I can't set the 3-blink turn option,
(3) I can't set the central locking to lock doors as I drive off option,
(3) the door lock switch changed from (up: unlock, down: lock) to (up: lock<->unlock, down: lock<->unlock).

Anyone else experienced this?

Ya. I locked my flikkin keys in the car after a dealer reflash. AAA showed me how to break into my car in 5 minutes.

I haven't a clue, maybe go back to the dealer?

Or go with Barry's suggestion? Call triple A?

I recently had my R56 at the dealer to enable the rear fogs. When I got the car back I assumed they must have done some kind of update because the location of various items on the OBC screen had changed. My car was previously set to the 3 blink option prior to taking to dealer; it still blinks 3 times.

I can't comment of the lock operation prior to the visit but it now does what you describe.

Latest trip to dealer resulted in loss of 3 blink option and now I need to press the unlock button twice in a row to unlock the passenger door.

When the dealership upgrade the firmware on one computer module, they have to run through the entire line up of 'computers' and set them back to default. With the proper tools, all your options can be re-enabled.

Option 1: Go back to the dealership and talk with your SA (most likely FREE if they have recently done service on your MINI).

Option 2: Find a MINI/BMW shop who has the proper tools (Autologic or something similar) - this will likely incur a small fee.

So weird thing today...3 blink turn signal came back by itself and I no longer need to press unlock on the key fob twice to unlock the passenger door.
