I'm going to show my ignorance, are the caliper carriers shown in this photo? I'm not sure what they look like. I googled it and am still not sure.

 

They are. They're bits which the bolts are sticking out of. You can find better diagrams at RealOEM.com, like this (part #2):



I have one lying around somewhere from when I got one replaced, but I can't find it at this moment.

 

Thank you! They just arrived and they are attached. Now the cleaning process begins. I'm going to try and find some Sonax in town tomorrow if simple green and Dawn does not work.
