Removing spark plug tubes ('03 S)

So I was diagnosing a misfire code today, and started with a compression test. Long story short, the end of the tester and about three inches of the rubber hose are stuck in the cylinder. I figured I could remove the spark plug tube to get a closer grip and spin it out. However, I cant find how to remove them anywhere.

So pretty much, how do I remove and reinstall the tubes on my 2003 Mini Cooper S? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Remove valve cover and spark plug.
Use special tool 11 8 500 to the tube and a slide hammer adapter to knock the old tube (sleeve) out.
Clean the area around the bore.
Screw special tool 12 1 212 or equivalent guide into spark plug hole.
Apply 3 mm thick bead of loctite 277 sealing compound 1 mm from end of tube,
and always use a new tube.
Fit the new tube and drive it in with special tool 12 1 211 until that tool
contacts the 12 1 212 guide.

If you look at the pictures of the tools in the Bentley guide, you may be able
to figure out how to make something similar. The actual tools are probably
expensive and hard to obtain.

I had this happen on a Subaru Forester. I used an appropriate-sized screw/bolt extractor to back out the compression tester fitting. It worked like a charm.

Maybe use a long hose pick to grab it and pull it out.
One with a short bend or curve at the end so it'll fit in the hole.

When I have to replace a tube I use blind puller/slide hammer then new tubes are drifted in with 2x4 chunk with loctite at base.
