I'm thinking of getting black wheels....and will probably stick with 16's....but not sure what I'd like better, black V-Spokes or black X-Lites. I want to stick with the factory wheels, too...by the way. I've got a deadline to send to powder coaters by 6/8...so I need to make my decision soon.

If anyone got pics of black painted or powdercoated V-Spokes or X-Lites, please post them here if possible. Or, if you've seen them and want to comment on which you like better, I'd appreciate that as well.

I have been thinking about having a spare set of v-spoke 16" rims (OEM) powder coated to black chrome and mounted on my Dark Silver MINI CooperS with black roof. I was hoping to see pix of what it might look like before taking the plunge. I sort of like the design of the rims and bought a used set from an ex-employee to help her out with "going-back-to-school" expenses. They need a little curb rash and brake dust pitting repaired and I thought a color that would disguise brake dust would save maintenance time as well as improve the look.

 

What's the typical cost of getting wheels powder coated?

 

quoted me $175, but the reply was rather terse and I need to look into it further.
