Drivetrain 2010 progress
2010 progress
So I have had my 2010 Camden for about a month and thanks to this board's classifieds and vendors (way alta etc) have scored some good parts.
So far I have changed the intake (keeping stock) to switch back and forth, exhaust, catless dp, plugs, and I am getting a tune from evolve.
I an getting the Bentley manual and I will try and extend the warranty as I read threads with continual issues vs threads with no issues for many miles. I try to do my own work, and may build up some spares (ie the turbo in the classifieds, water neck etc)
The goal I the car is a cool unique daily driver (about 30k a year).
Trying to decide what next, snow wheels tires, suspension upgrades ?
Thanks for this forums help so far, any thoughts?

You mentioned snow tires, they are highly recommended if you drive in the snow. You can always mount the snows on your factory wheels, then get lightweight wheels and sticky tires for the summer.
NM engine mount insert is a nice upgrade, it reduces torque steer.
Keep driving the car, and see what you dislike about the car. If it rides too stiff, change shocks. If it sits too high, there are options for that as well.
Installing a rear sway bar is a nice upgrade, and they are adjustable. If you like the car to understeer less, then you can stiffen the rear bar.
These can be great cars, just save some money for maintenance....
Have fun,
Mike

Sticky tires and a huge rear sway bar. Those two things will dramatically increase the capability of the MINI without added road harshness. It doesn't matter what kind of driver you are, you need both!
Definitely saving for maintenance, and hoping to not get killed with High ticket items. I put 100k on my commuter miata with minimal maint issues, ( although a used motor was $700 on eBay if ever needed). This car is definitely more fun and comfortable as a commuter.
I have quickly ran through the bolt-ons and will drive it for a while to work out any quirks.
The tune seems to bring the bolt-ons altogether and seems to make the car much quicker.
